Often when I get out my fabric, oil sticks or paint in a public area to take an imprint, I have an audience. In foreign countries where I don't speak the local language, explanations can be difficult. So while the men looked on & one cleaned his car, I got to work in front of the National Theatre in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
My assistant Bob chats with locals when he can: this man speaking English helped. The carved stones were reminiscent of Deer Stones found in parts of Mongolia. Unfortunately we didn't see them on our travels over the Steppe.
Ginny, thanks for your comment & please tell your friend to stop in at my exhibit in Houston & say hello.
