Split

We enjoyed our day in Split, Croatia from the first sighting. The Captain manoeuvred the ship into a tight berth so we could disembark at the port rather than come in by small boats.

It's a busy port with many ferries and it would be nice to come back for a trip up or down the Croatian coast.

Looks like the Venetians influence here at this piazza, with reminders of San Marco's.

We wandered the back streets for a coffee and glimpse into local life,

and didn't stop to enjoy one here in the Diocletian Square of the Palace complex, although the seating and tables had us intrigued.
