Letterboxes

We saw this jumble of letterboxes on the side of the road & had to stop for photos.
Everything & anything had been used to collect the mail.

This was the one in the best condition with a cow & pigs chime.

    I'll be the postman gets a smile every time. I know I would. It almost looks like the neighbors are trying to outdo each other in cleverness.

    Lovely! That is one of my favourite things on a country drive- the more decrepit, original & innovative the better.
    I always wanted to write a children's story about a row of country mailboxes but never got past the descriptions!
