Bed quilt

I don't often make bed quilts these days, preferring to concentrate on art for the wall. However Granddaughter aged 5 needs a quilt for her bed, so last month I began cutting the pieces.

It's a simple pattern of vertical tiles with a 5" border. I'm in the machine quilting stage now & find it is sooo... big. Perhaps the wool blend wadding doesn't help. But it will look good on her bed & keep her warm.
