Bratislava Hrad

After a coffee at the UFO we walked over the Danube via the bridge to the Bratislava Hrad which sits impressively on top of the hill overlooking the Old Town. This old gate greeted us as well as a steep gradient, all designed to keep unwanted visitors out in centuries past.

The Lipa trees line the entry way. Much has been reconstructed and restored after various invasions, sackings and general decline.
