Journal covers

I have been mucking about with some paints on pre-quilted bits. These will eventually turn into journal covers. I like to use a metallic or pearlescent paint for this part of the process as it adds extra shine and sparkle. The quilting  provides interesting hills and valleys and seems to come alive with the painting. I recycle jewellery pieces by stitching or tying them to the covers.
