Shookumchuck Narrows

It's a long but lovely walk through mossy forest into the rapids. A raven, with a beautiful call was sitting on top of this totem pole.
It was a dry day and the moss with soft and springy to the touch. I couldn't help thinking about eco dyeing!
At the narrows the rapids meet the rushing incoming tide and it is fantastic! Brave male and female kayakers go out in dinky short kayaks and find the sweet spot between the two flowing bodies of water to remain in suspended animation.
The black obsidian river just kept rushing on.
