Life in the freezer- photos

Internet speed is very good in Istanbul where we are currently for a short time, so I am taking time to update the previous posts from the freezer like conditions of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
On my first weekend back, we went to the National Museum of Mongolia. Passing by the Parliament building we saw a changing of the guard. These soldiers had stood out in front of the building and then, in formation, marched back to their waiting bus, so we were not sure what it was all about!
There was a lot of snow still about and this carved deer stone outside the museum was deep in the white stuff.
I was rugged up for the weather!
Wonderful exhibits inside on the history of Mongolia, national costumes and artifacts from the stone, bronze and iron ages. The snuff bottle exhibit was a temporary one.
