This one's for you Ginny! In the capital Ulaan Baatar I was taken to Tsagaan Alt felt shop. It is very near the big State Department Store on Peace Avenue, which has many souvenirs on the fifth floor. But Tsagaan Alt has the best choice of felt slippers I saw anywhere.
The selection for children was so cute, it was hard to decide. Ruby got red slippers with cherries. I chose a blue pair & they are just so warm in this winter weather on my tiled floors. Bob also got a pair.
A layer of suede on the sole gives added grip. This last photo is of other slippers in a cashmere store.
