Istanbul- quilters gathering

We woke to a sunny day and great view from the 25th floor of our hotel room. A vast city and one of the local cemeteries lay before us. I was collected by local quilter Emina and we drove across one of the bridges linking West to East for the Wednesday meeting of the Textile Arts Association in their club room. In a city of 16 plus million people traffic is always heavy.
Our Bosphorus view as we crossed over with turrets from a mosque by the water, visible on the left.
Now the view looking back to the bridge from the Asian side and with another cemetery on the right among the trees.
We drove down a cobblestone street, a café on the corner and two large trees adding to the pleasant atmosphere of this quarter, Kuzguncuk.
