Trevi Fountain

Worth all the hype, this is magnificent and loved by thousands each day.
Yes, we did throw our coins in. It must be cleaned out each day as there didn't seem to be many coins on the bottom. This area is very touristy and many shops sell the 'Italia' sweatshirts and t-shirts, funny aprons, [ David getting fat from too much spaghetti ] leather goods and for the first time we saw more wooden Pinocchios than we could count.
This is a detail of the Piazza Navona  Four Rivers fountain by Bernini from 1651. The pigeon is perched on top of his face and it looks like it has startled him!
