 Loving this time of the year, with Summer solstice just yesterday in the Southern Hemisphere. Christmas just around the corner, getting excited for my Grandchildren and the fun on  Christmas morning. Wishing all my blog readers a very Merry Christmas and may 2017 be full of all the good things you deserve xxx

Christmas is coming

It is a busy time in the lead up to Christmas and I feel especially pushed this year having just returned from my life in the freezer in Mongolia.

I want to thank all of you, my blog readers for sticking with me as I have travelled here and there. It has been a busy, full year and I am looking forward to that special family time that the Summer holiday brings.

I hope the gifts you receive are what is needed whether it is health or wealth or creativity or just time to sit and marvel. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!I'll be back in 2016 with more travel adventures, textiles from around the world and quilting news, see you then xxx

Christmas is coming to Ulaanbaatar- day 17 & 18

This large Christmas tree was being erected in front of the large State Department Store, on Peace Avenue, when we passed by.

And then, the next day when I passed, it was looking very sparkly and ready for the Festive Season.

 

 

Merry Christmas

Thank you for following my blog throughout this year. I have enjoying writing of the big and small happenings of my year and hope you will join me in 2015 for more adventures in travel, sewing and anything else that comes my way.
So I wish each of you and your families a very Merry Christmas. We are having family time with a few days north of Brisbane in the Maleny/Conondale area and then going way down south to Melbourne, so I'll be quiet for a few weeks.
I hope 2015 is joyful, peaceful and quite marvellous for you xx

It's time

Its' time to wish you a Merry Christmas! We celebrate this special time of the year with our family and are having a new experience this year- a beach holiday. Of course I've been to the beach many times but having the 3 grandchildren together at the beach is going to be new experience for us all.

Bob's Mum always had this flower spike [we think from a bromeliad] in a vase for Christmas. It is very tall, about a metre and what an amazing colour!

The Poinciana or Phoenix tree as it is called in Tainan, is flowering too. So I'll take a short break and wish you, your family and loved ones a happy and safe Festive Season. May 2013 be full of creative adventures for you and thank you for taking time to read my blog this year. I'll be back in 2013 with more travel stories, quilts and general ramblings.

Thinking of Christmas

How can this be? Christmas, already! At the end of August I was walking through a department store in Brisbane and saw they have put up their Christmas merchandise section already. This seemed very early to me, but then I saw this 2013 diary and bought it.

Yes, I am planning ahead for some events in 2013 and even Christmas this year, but I'd prefer not to see Christmas decorations until the month before.
