We have travelled the heel of Italy and loved the coastline. South of Otranto it is rugged, with some winding roads reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast. Shepards and flocks of sheep and goats dot the wildflower covered slopes. Rock walls provide small terraces for crops. Little coastal marinas and towns are tucked in between the rocky shores and inlets. The sunshine brings out the beautiful blues.
This inlet near Ciolo was under the road bridge.
A few people were taking advantage of the sunny weather and working on their tans. We have not seen many people swimming yet as the water is still a little cool.
