These beautiful tapestries were commissioned by the Australia National University & hang in the foyer of the Great Hall at University House. Valerie Kirk, Head of Textiles at the School of Art, ANU designed & made them. The blue one is in honour of Dr Frank Fenner who has worked on eradicating smallpox.The set of 3 celebrate Nobel Prizes associated withANU.They are 240 L x 120cmW.
Travel is an exciting & large part of my life, combined with creating fabric, stitching art quilts & enjoying textile traditions around the world.
