Chinggis Khaan

Bob went sightseeing in Mongolia & has sent me these photos of the Chinggis Khaan [local spelling]  60 metre tall statue some 100 kilometres from the capital Ulaanbaatar.
The statue is made of stainless steel. My orange hat is certainly seeing the world, just a pity it's not on my head at the locations.

  1. Thanks for the pictures. I've been to Mongolia but didn't go see this stupendous/horrendous statue. Love the Mongol in his traditional coat and boots in the photo -- their costumes in the National Museum, especially the women's, are totally amazing! And the women wear similar costumes at their annual Nadam festival - quite thrilling to see.
