Studio find

Something which I never thought I'd find a use for, is this nylon ribbon, inherited from my mother in law, who used it for knitting clothes hanger covers. I discovered it the week I was working on my Australia Wide 2 entries & have used some of the black in my small 16" quilt. The black is sitting on a scrap of  the fabric I ended up using in the quilt.

  1. How good to reinvent a use for something that's been around for years Sue - look forward to seeing the quilts during their travels.

  2. Your mother-in-law must have been like my mother with the knitted coat hangers - but I think I have more of this stuff than you could imagine. It's great for edging things though but it is going to take me a life time plus to use it all up.

  3. do you have the pattern for the coat hangers? My mum used to knit them but sadly she died and didn't write down the pattern. I found about a dozen rolls of this ribbon and would like to use it as I hate things to go to waste. thanks in advance
