Colour & shape

These caught my eye in the USA. Can anyone tell me if they are apples?
Jan, the cushion is being donated to the Sewco Flood Sewing Day.

    I think they are apples .. we were struck by the toffee and otherwise covered apples on sticks ... everywhere in the USA!!!
