This quilt, 'Ride With Me' by Joanne Mitchell was the winner of the Hoffman Challenge & had a remote sensor, so as you passed it would light up & carousel music began playing- absolutely fabulous!
Many quilt exhibitions were scattered around the town. The New Zealand quilts are fresh & vary from Australian designs as they draw on their unique Pacific heritage.
