Train trouble

We are looking very sad here, as we have the ticket for the train to Vernon, but got on the wrong train! Let's just say 'lost in translation' is our excuse. A French woman who spoke Cambridge English helped us, as well as the very understanding train ticket inspectors.
We needed to go to Vernon, get a bus and then walk to Monet's Garden and House. L-R Nick, Di and Bob- almost there.
No photos allowed inside, but lots of bright colours- blues, yellow, green and mauve. The gardens were not at their best yet, but showing promise.

The famous bridge over the waterlily pond. And then the marvellous reflections.
We had seen the Waterlily paintings at L Órangerie before coming out.

  1. At least you got there in the end, we got on a train to nowhere going to Versailles, but got there after a friendly frenchman helped us!

  2. That makes me mad. The french people refuse to speak or understand english. I hope you have a nice trip.
