Elephants

his elephant is rushing off to a wedding. You may just make out the painted decorations on his trunk. A fancy Howdah will be positioned on top and the celebrations will last into the night, with lots of noise and partying.
This elephant at Dera Amer was very happy to be fed many bananas by us all when we arrived for our sunset elephant trek through the Aravalis. Rhonda, above, knows the best places to go in Rajasthan and if you are interested in a unique experience, please contact her through Textile Traditions.
The elephants are well looked after and come from the local area.
Our Mahout who enjoyed using Bob's  camera for shots of us sitting comfortable on the cushioned howdah. The drinks station along the way just capped it all off!
Our shadow on the Rajasthani landscape.
