We wanted to visit Lund, an historic fishing village at the start or end, depending on your travel direction, of Highway 101. The other end is in Patagonia, Chile. We were too early for the Shellfish Festival but enjoyed a peaceful day on the waterfront. We stayed in the Lund Hotel, seen in the background above.
We are coming across a lot of totem poles on our travels.
The light lasts for a long time in these northern parts and this was just a lovely glow.
Travel is an exciting & large part of my life, combined with creating fabric, stitching art quilts & enjoying textile traditions around the world.
I work in the quilting industry; exhibit, judge, curate, tutor & write.
These are some of the threads of my life.
