Design wall

This is the piece I worked on yesterday for the Mt Isa Quilters Challenge. The smaller image shows the elements before they were all fused in place. We were given 3 patterned fabrics which all had a smattering of gold print & had to use a 5" square piece of each. We can add what ever else we want. The finished piece is to measure 12" x 18".
Binding to stitch yet, but it is quilted simply with black thread in a wavy design to reflect the interconnected pieces which link across the surface from side to side.

  1. Wow - what a nice use of rhythm and value. I like the diagonal movement across it. Its always fun when a challenge turns out so well! Great job!!

  2. Thank heavens I did not move any pieces on Monday night or I would be in trouble! It looks great
