This was a beautiful calendar image hanging in the silk shop which was crammed with bolts of brightly coloured silks. In the back room even more silk adorned the walls, making it hard to select just one!
If you are interested in seeing the bolt it is spread out on this pile of other bolts. To test the natural properties of the silk, the store owner produced a lighter & began burning an edge & no, the shop did not go up in flames!The next couple of photos are from a Costume Museum we found near Suhkbaatar Square. To me 'the museum' seemed more like a photographic studio where you could dress up.
