My design wall

I currently have some small quilts, with anthill motifs, on my design wall. I'm going to finish these & take them to the USA when I go there in May for the Studio Art Quilt Associates http://www.saqa.com/ conference. I'm using hand dyed fabric, mostly my own but some left over from the Oz Dye Art business days when I used to buy hand dyed fabric.
Learning to dye my own became a necessity as I began to find my voice & strengths. The Complex Cloth book by Jane Dunnewold has several methods of dyeing explained & I follow one of the very simple ways.

I usually dye 15 metres+ in a session so I have it to draw on when the creative urge strikes. You probably think the orangey browns are my favourite colour way!
