The flower of Cleopatra's Tears, the name my daughter gave this bromeliad is a study in split complementary colours, green, yellow & pink. The fringe of purple on the green just sets off the delicate hanging arrangement.
Looking at the last post and this one my garden seems to have the same flowers as your at present. My bromeliads are also in bloom and I just love to wander through, take photos and get inspiration from nature - its very relaxing.
Travel is an exciting & large part of my life, combined with creating fabric, stitching art quilts & enjoying textile traditions around the world.
I work in the quilting industry; exhibit, judge, curate, tutor & write.
These are some of the threads of my life.

ReplyDeleteI have one of these! Love the name your daughter gave it, though I don't know its real name.
