At the American Folk Art Museum there is a stunning exhibition of Paula Nadelstern's contemporary quilts inspired by kaleidoscopes. An online catalogue at the Museums's website will give you an idea of her amazing work, but being able to see in person the lustre & texture of the silks Paula uses add richly to the exhibition experience. Expert mastery of colour & highly patterned fabric choices are hallmarks of her obsession.
The exhibit is very inspiring. I attended a couple weeks ago and am still smiling. Seeing Paula's quilts in person is an amazing experience. Thanks for picking up a set of the note cards. They're from, C&T Publishing, the company I work for.
Travel is an exciting & large part of my life, combined with creating fabric, stitching art quilts & enjoying textile traditions around the world.
I work in the quilting industry; exhibit, judge, curate, tutor & write.
These are some of the threads of my life.
