Road to Taos

After the snow covered high road, the scenery changed into sage brush rolling plains & we were surprised by this intersection- the first with a traffic light since leaving Durango. This is typical of suspended traffic lights in the US.
We crossed the Rio Grande & along with everyone else, stopped for photos.

Our room at the Sagebrush Inn had a kiva [fireplace] which we lit after a delicious buffalo steak dinner.
This is covered in sweet bell peppers [capsicum] which I can eat. Unfortunately I can't eat the hot, spicy food that Bob loves.
