Life in the freezer-day 6

Over the weekend it was quite warm- that is above freezing and even reaching a high of 5 degrees C. We must be adapting if we think that's warm! So we got out and about in our neighbourhood, central UB to shop and visit Chinggis Square or Sukhbaatar Square as it was formally known.
There is still residual snow on the ground and ice patches. Not sure who this is on the horse- no signage in English.
But looking the other way you can see the parliament building where Chinggis Khaan sits.
He is very imposing. Notice the beautiful horse heads either side of the inscription.
One bearded man with another bearded man.
Two horsemen flank the impressive staircase leading up to Chinggis.
Russian era buildings line one of the streets surrounding the square., with the tall City Hall building in the background. I was wondering why I was feeling puffed when walking around and discovered that UB is 1,350 metres above sea level and is supposed to be the coldest world capital.
